Yesterday I recieved acknowledgement that there is gold here. I have always thought of our little farm as a golden place. A place that I wanted to spend the rest of my days at. Yesterday evening, after a day of torrential rain, the sun came out. I stepped out on my porch just in time to see a rainbow spread across the sky. My breath caught in my throat as I watched the end of the rainbow settle in our field. The trees on the creekside behind it simmered with its color. I rushed inside to get the camera hoping to capture its beauty. If you look closely you can see the rainbow in front of the trees not behind them.
