Brook and I are by ourselves right now. Pat took my daughter to the store so she could buy her boyfriend something. I was going to take her but I do have an ulterior motive for sending him. Maybe, just maybe he will get me something. Heck even a card would be nice. I have been buying my own candy heart for so long I would not know how to act if he got me one!

Brook was a busy beaver yesterday. She baked her very first cake!  from cracking the eggs..  measuring the water...  mixing it up..  and pouring it in the heart-shaped pan. I did the greasing and putting in the oven. Afterwards she iced it and decorsted it. She made it for her mama. I am so proud of my little baker. She watched the clock like a hawk to keep it from over cooking.

Pat and I are supposed to go out for dinner. We will see. Brook is staying at her mama's tonight so we can have our Valentine day today.
