I'm back

What I had not told anybody, including Pat,was that for the last week I have been having pain in my side. Well last night it got to be too much and I decided to go to the doctor this morning. I had no appointment and as early as 830 her office was packed. When I finally saw her she chewed me out for waiting to come in and sent me to the hospital for tests.

Well I got back from the hospital just in time to go to TaeKwonDo. I was so relieved, well almost. All my lab work came back good so no appendicitis or infection. Poor guy across from me came in with the stomach flu and he had appendicitis! So off to xray with me. Turns out that even though ( now hold your nose) I have been pooping regular, I have some poop stuck in me. Yes that's right I am consipated. The ER doc said that it would be a good idea to have me checked out for IBS. It seems that IBS is a side effect of gallbladder surgery for women. Sounds like fun. Now for the real fun. They treated me at the hospital and nothing came out! So now I am waiting for the outcome of their treatment. I am not going to follow thru with the chemicals that they want me to take. I got me some grape juice and prune juice( I will mix them as I hate prune juice!) and will start a walking program. Just going to get things moving along! LOL

I like the dried fruit, they have the lemon tasteing ones and they are real good. Take care of your self and all of your family. When it rains it pours. Just keep your eyes on the Lord. He can and will bring you through anything. hugs, Denise

  7. Digestive problems are no laughing matter, that's for sure.  And constipation can be extremely painful.  As we age we have to be more cognizant of these things.  Glad it wasn't anything too serious, Celeste.

  9. This is what happens when I fall behind on my journal reading. I missed the medical drama!  I am with you on skipping the chemicals for now. Try more fiber/bulk and yoga! Prune juice too. Yoga, I hear, is great for getting things moving. :-)

  10. Mandy had this when she was little. We had to give her nasty enemas and also they gave her lactulose. Ask for a 'script of that. It works GREAT.
