I went to visit my daughter last night. She is really looking forward to coming home. She does know that the job market will be scarse. There are not a lot of places that will hire a convicted felon especially one that has a drug conviction. She is being realistic about that. She is required to have a job or go to school. DUH>>> in order to go to school she will have to have a job. I feel sorry about the mess she has made in her life. I will do what I can to help her. She is my daughter and I love her. The way the system is set up there is no wonder so many end up back in jail. They tell you okay now you have to get a job, maintaine your family nad come see me every week and pay me some money for seeing me. O yea and the fine has to be paid too. Now lets see well that is $133 a week. And by the way you do not get any help, you are totally on your own. Now how does that work out? Get paid minimum wage after taxes you bring home $145. Sure they can afford an apartment for $12 a week and buy food and take tha baby to the doctor and pay child care. Luckily my daughter has a home to come to but what about those that do not? What happens to them? Back to a life that will pay them and then back to jail. Sad.
