This is the scene that is outside right now. Look cold to you? It does to me. Not to this guy though. As you can see he is leaving to go hunting this morning. He hopes to get a deer.
On to another subject.... I got half my tree up last night. By half I mean I got the lights on. I have my toys out too. my village is set up. It is in the beginning stages. Still collecting pieces for it. This is my first year for it. By the end of the week I will have everything done except for the cooking and baking. That is an on going thing all the way up to Christmas Day.

OMG, he soooo looks like my father in law in that photo. I was married for 17 years to a Cajun guy from Louisiana and I remember all of those cold early morning deer hunts. It was like a whole lifetime ago.
ReplyDeleteHope you will have a freezer full of venison before the day is out ... oh, that's after they drive all over town with that dead buck draped over the hood of the truck like a trophy LOL.

Good luck to your hunny. Cliff only half-heartedly hunted, and took the next-door twins with him. They open up the season again in a few days, and I'm hoping he'll give it a real try. He has other things he'd rather do, but I want some free meat. That frosty picture is lovely.
ReplyDeleteHope he gets a deer! The only two people I know who have gotten one this year are two of my driving friends. One ran into the side of Jimmy's truck and Cliff got one with his bumper. LOL. Some deer hunters. Can't find 'em in the woods but they're all over the side of the road. I've seen plenty there. Too bad they won't let me take the rifle in the truck.
ReplyDeleteAnd isn't that funny how easy it is for me, or Turtle, or Pat to say "Hey that sounds like a relay" and yet our own mechanics can't take ten minutes to check the relays. Heck no...have to spend almost 24 hours at Freightliner to find out it's exactly that. Thanks for stopping by this morning. Maybe I'll start bringing my truck to Pat when it's broken, lol.
Sammie :)
PAT LOOKS PRETTY DETERMINED TO GET THAT DEER!! SCOPIN IT OUT ISNT HE? LOL!!
ReplyDeleteI CANT WAIT TO SEE WHAT YOUR HOUSE LOOKS LIKE AFTER YOU ARE FINISHED DECORATING IT CELESTE!! :)
LET US ALL KNOW IF PAT GETS HIS DEER!
KIM.
Run, deer! RUN!!! LOL I started decorating today. I got the space in front of the walk-out window cleared for the tree, my mantle cleared and the burgundy velvet runner in place, the runner on the sofa table, Father Christmas figure, Tyler's Santa pic from his first visit, my mailbox swag with the lights (which is a centerpiece since the strap broke last year)...getting there. LOL
ReplyDeleteGood for you. I still haven't gotten my tree yet. Maybe this week. Hope your hunny has fun hunting.
ReplyDeletehey, Pat looks like he's already seen one!!!lol Hope he gets one! I make deer sausage. (It makes real good chili too!)
ReplyDeleteI WISH it was cold here! And I haven't even started on my tree...::sigh::. : )
