quote

You've failed many times, although you don't remember. You fell down the first time you tried to walk. You almost drowned the first time you tried to swim. . . . Don't worry about failure. . . . Worry about the chances you miss when you don't even try.
-- Sherman Finesilver, US District Court Judge

  5. Good point. And it is really common sense, too. Margo

  6. Hi, Celeste - I like this quote...  I hope I'm not showing my ignorance by asking who is this judge and why did he say this?  Just curious about the circumstances...  was he addressing a graduating class?  Was he on the bench advising a recently convicted person, trying to offer hope?  Was he being interviewed for a newspaper article???  Just curious!  (I already said that, didn't I?)  And his name is interesting, too - Finesilver.  It flows from the tongue.  And eloquent quote from an eloquently named individual.  How lovely.

    Thanks for sharing!

  7. Thanks!  I think I needed that.  Too bad we can't view our successes as "big" as we do our mistakes.

    I'm working on it.
