yesterday

Yesterday was a full day. Lazy one too! brook had a Demo at her school. The children's team preformed their routine 7 times. It was Career Day and there were lots of people there. We got Krispy Kreme doughnuts and Mayfield Ice Cream. YUMMY!!! Afterwards she got a t-shirt for doing it LOL. Navy, fire trucks, ambulance, insurance agents, wrestlers,go kart racer, vet, doctors, truck drivers, and police were just a few of the people there. There were some Marines there that had just arrived back from Iraq. It was a good day for the kids. I brought Brook home afterwards. She was pretty tired. When her mama got home a short time later( it had started raining so she could not work) those 2 took off to a friend's house. Pat played on the computer for awhile. I watched my shows. We then got dressed and went out! We went to dinner at Golden Corral and then to Walmart. Did not buy anything, just looked. Then we went to play pool. I was dropping those balls in the pocket like I had never quit shooting! Then home and to bed. Today has been a bit lazy again. that is about to change. Pat just called me and he picked up a flat of fresh Tennessee strawberries for me. He also picked up a load of gravel for us to shovel out in the driveway! We may go out again tonight. Brook is having a little girl spend the night and Candy will have her hands full! well gotta go. Pat is here now and so is Brook!

  4. Sounds like a wonderful lazy day!  We all need some of those.....to enjoy each other, make memories, refresh and renew.

My hubbby is the preserve and jelly maker at our house.  (Though somehow I get stuck with most of the prep work!)  I am sure he'll be hauling in strawberries soon.  But they grow them local....about 10 miles north of here.  - Barbara
