Ellen and the dog

The limelight has been stolen from Britney. Ellen has managed to get herself in the spotlight again. Ellen gave away a dog that she adopted. People are hollaring that there is nothing wrong with that. I think there is. She signed a contract and agreed to if she did not want the dog or it was not working out then she would give it back. It was not up to her to just give the dog to who SHE thinks is fit. Everyone keeps saying that Ellen gave the dog to a loving family. HOW do they know that it is a loving family? How knows them? She says she spent $3000 on the dog getting its shots and training. ( I say she is crazy) She PAID to get the dog trained to be with her cats? Come on now. Cats train their own dogs. If is is a puppy, it won't take long to get the puppy trained.

In my opinion Ellen was wrong. Then to compound everything she gets on tv and boo hoos about it.

  1. I'm with you, but that is not the only problem I have with Ellen. I really get tired of hearing all about them. You can't turn on the TV with out hearing all of their business. Who Cares !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. I agree with you that Ellen was in the wrong... However, since the dog seemed happy, I think the rescue might have tried placing the dog there instead of just 'repossessing' it. I have known people who do rescues, and finding a good home is often difficult, so I didn't get the just taking back of the dog. How hard would it have been to get this set of people approved I wonder. <shrug> Highhandedness on the part of all parties, and (as usual) it is mostly the animal who gets the brunt of it. Poor doggy has now been relocated -3- times, and we all know how upsetting just one relocation can be on the poor furkids. {sigh}

  3. While I do think this is all very silly, I do think they should have left the dog with the little girl.  It is hard to find good homes for mixed breed dogs!  ALl of them need to grow up big time. But death threats? That is scary...

    Come on people. Kids are dying in Iraq every day.

    Katrina victims are still suffering.

    Can't we find more important news?

  4. I agree with you that she signed the contract and should have given the dog back to the agency. You can't tell me that she didn't KNOW that was a stipulation?? She's not stupid.
    Crying on the air is a bit dramatic. That kinda pissed me off.

  5. And now her loyal viewers are making death threats to the people at the pet adoption place.  Classy.
