1 down
One down and 3 to go. She passed! At one point , when they got a break, she came up to me crying that she was not passing. I just wanted to bundle her in my arms and take her home. I could not let her see my tears while I reassured her that she was doing good. She made mistakes but I think now she sees that she has to practice more. I am so glad that the first part is over. I sat there for 2 hours feeling like I was going to throw up.
Times like this make it hard being a parent or grandparent. Paula
ReplyDeleteYes, but you both hung in there and she emerged yet a winner once more. If it were easy, everyone would have a black belt. Congratulations to Brook for conquering this first hurdle and good luck with the next one.

I think all of us think we fail every martial arts test. I always cried after all of mine. That's when we realize that the test is just the beginning of a lifetime of training.
