Analog Tv

There are some people that are wondering about when digital TV will completely replace analog. The date mandated by Congress is Feb. 17, 2009. On that date all analog signals will cease to be broadcast. You will need to have a digital TV or a convertor box for your old analog TV. In Jan of 2008 you can request a coupon good for $40 off the purchase price of a convertor box. Here is some information I have.

$40 COUPONS

WILL BE AVAILABLE

FOR CONVERTERS

Starting January 1, 2008, each household in

America can request up to two coupons from

the government to use toward the purchase of

certain converters. Each coupon is worth $40.

Coupons will expire 90 days after they are issued.

The government agency responsible for this

program, the National Telecommunications

and Information Administration, will issue

periodic updates on the Coupon Program.

Please check back at the beginning of 2008 to

request your coupons. Requests cannot be taken

until January 2008. Call 1-888-DTV-2009

or 1-888-388-2009 or visit www.dtv.gov

later in the year to find out.
