Beautiful

What a beautiful way to start out a brand new year! The sun is shining so bright. The air smells clean. The birds are singing and the cats are purring. Come to think of it I was purring a bit when I woke up today.

I am looking forward to this year. Today is the first day of changes in my life. Yes I know it sounds like a New Years resolution. I guess it is. I plan on making a few changes in my life. I am going to take better care of me. I am going to take better care of my relationship. I am going to take better care of my home. I am going to love more, eat less, ride more, move more, sit less, and do now instead of later.

So time to get started on today. Today we are going on a bike ride so I need to feed our faces now. Black eyed Peas are simmering in a pot for dinner, cabbage will go in later followed by a pan of cornbread.

Have a great day everyone. Happy New Year.

  1. It does sound like a beautiful way to start the new year.  I made sure Paulette picked up some black eyed peas to serve up today.  That has been a New Year's Day tradition in my family ever since I can remember.  Have a great ride and take your camera with you!

  14. Sounds like a great start to a new year.  I think we should all adopt your plans for changes (of course, I'd have to say "walk" or "bike ride" instead of ride).

  15. Oh, at 9:34 in the morning, whlst you were waking up, greeting the dawn and smelling the air, I was plunging toilets that the crackheads stopped up, running upstairs to break up a huge brawl in my V.I.P. and then, dealing with diva D.J.'s who were pissy that they didn't get a chance to spin.

    Wanna trade lives...
