Round Robin

Looking around I could see so many things that symbolize new life, the subject of the Round Robin this time round. Check out Round Robin for more pictures on this subject.

Here on the farm, kittens are always being born in the Spring. This bunch was born one week ago. Colorful little buggers! There are 3 calicos (first time we have had this color here), a gray and a black. Their little eyes are just starting to open so they can see the new world.

This next picture is something most people have in their refrigerator. Here, it is life to be. My little hen is taking a break from setting on her nest to get something to eat.

  1. Calico means females. My three cats were altered, no kittens for me. Thanks for sharing yours.
I sure miss my chickens. Every spring I think about getting some hens, then the red fox will saunter thru the yard and I change my mind! Nice entry for NEW LIFE!

  2. Love the kitties. I used to have a long-haired calico. She never said "meow." It was always "eah." I hope yours bring as much joy as mine did!

  3. Awww!  We won't have any more kittens around here. :\  Irresponsible, I know, but I love em. ;)  C.  http://journals.aol.com/gdireneoe/thedailies

  4. It's easy for most of us to forget that the original purpose of those white things in our refrigerators was to hatch into chickens. Thanks for the reminder (and the cute kitties). - Karen

  5. I love calico cats.  Trouble is, they're usually females.  Looks like the cat population on your place will be exploding.

  9. Great entries!!  Since the "chickies" are still in their "wrappers" they won't mind that I think the kitties are the ultimate cuties!
