I finally got Belle home. When I left to get her the other day and tried to cross the field walking I found out that it was impassable on foot. It was a swamp back there. Summertime it is one big skeeter patch. Soooo...... today my daughter and I drove over to the place she was at and we walked her home. We were going to ride her but it turned out she was covered with cockle burrs. No way was I going to put a saddle on her and risked having missed picking one of those off! It was a 2 and half mile walk mostly uphill! I was pretty proud of her. She crossed a bridge, which causes some horses to become skirmish or flat out refuse to cross. She trusts us completely. Ran into one problem with a dog that came up to us and was growling. I hollared at the people whose yard it came out of that they needed to get their dog. The woman just shruggled her shoulders. I told her once again get your dog or I will take care of it. A man then came across the field and goyt the dog. I guess they did not want me to take care of it. Belle is not afraid of gunshots.
So she is home and happy.
Both hens are laying daily now. Eggs coming out my ears!
The motorcycle is fixed. No more water leak. We are going on a ride tomorrow.
Brook is staying at her mama's tonight. She is on spring break next week.
Last night we went to see the black belt tests at her school. There are 10 new black belts and 2 new second degree black belts. It was great!!!
That's all for now. See yall later.
Glad to hear you found her and she was safe!

ReplyDeleteTwo and half mile walk uphill? And you are proud of Belle?? What about you? Lordy, I was just exhausted thinking about it! Plus all the rest of the day! I needed a nap after reading your entry. You are one terrific woman. Do you ever give yourself credit for all you do?
