I have received the news that my friend's father Fred, has stage 4 kidney cancer that has spread to his lungs. Surgery is not an option for him because of the spreading of it. He has been placed on chemo treatment, which he will take for the rest of his life however long it may be.
Fred is a wonderful man. He has been married to the same woman for over 50 years. It is not unusual to see him pat her on her bottom when she walks by him. They have such a wonderful love for each other. His eyes always twinkle with life. He always has a ready smile, a wink or a hug what ever you need. He will help you the best he can. He will give you straight talk when you need it. He loves playing golf, going to church, dancing. He loves life. He is kind. I really like him. No , I really love him.
I am very sorry to hear the dx for Fred. I hope he is one of the lucky ones who prove the doctors wrong.
