cancer?

Yesterday I recieved news I was not expecting. My best friend's father may have lung cancer. Several places were found on his lungs and and now he is going to undergoing a biospy.

I have known this man all my life. He used to be a deacon in the church I grew up in. He would come over to our house and fix any electrical problems that we had. After my daddy died, he provided so much support for my mama. He was always good for a hug. He knew how to make you feel good.

He has said that he will not have his lung removed if it is cancer. I don't know if that also means he will not fight the cancer or not. He is at peace with himself. He has a great love for the Lord and trusts him.

I am not ready to lose him too.

  7. And we pray for him not to have cancer. My neighbor just had lung surgery and it wasn't cancer, so miracles happen.....and she smoked since she's 12 and she's 65.

  10. It is hard to lose anyone that is close to us. We just have to remember that everyone has their time to go. Take comfort in the fact that he is at peace for it and ready for it. Also, take comfort that you got to know him, spend time with him, enjoy him. Those are memories that will last.
