Im here

I know I missed yesterday writing here but I did not miss doing a load of laundry.

Yesterday Precious was brought out to meet the stud but she was still resistant. This morning was a different story! She stood there and twitched her tail over. The stud was then brought out to see if she was ready. She stood legs spread, tail flopped over while he sniffed around and rubbed his nose on her. He nuzzled her neck and the attempted to mount. Everything was going so well up to that point. Precious ran out from under him and wet herself. She was scared. Once more we attempted the breeding. She stood still again in the ready position and once again ran out from under him. This time she did not go as far and run as hard. Keep in mind Pat is holding Precious on a lead rope. The first time she dragged him about 20 -30 feet. The third time we attempted it and out from under him she went again. This time she only went about 5 feet and not so fast. I think she is teasing him now! She is scared but I think she will allow him soon. There will be another attempt tonight. We will keep on for as long as she is on heat.

We went and bought Brook's birthday present today. I cannot tell you what it is right now because little eyes are in the room right now. I can tell you this , it is pretty and big! LOL Ouch she just hit me!

  5. I am so glad that you are letting her decide. I have seen so many mares hobbled when mating so that the stallion can have his way whether or not she is ready...
