cuts, walking and stuff

"A mistake only becomes a failure when you repeat it."

How is everyone today? Pat is doing good with his finger. It looked horrible. It was a jagged cut about 2 inches long. Brook's ear is better. And I am not thirsty anymore.

I have been walking 3-4 times a week lately. My new habit will be walking 5 times a week even if I have to walk alone. We have been going 2.2 miles on the road and my driveway added to it makes 2 and a half miles for me. We are working on cutting our time down for our walk. I suspect that I will have to increase my time on the days we do not walk together.  Our time is slow. We are barely walking ove 2.5 miles an hour. I would like to get our time up to 3.5 MPH. At least I am walking!

Next month I start a new class. We will be studying advance techniques in Bo Staff. I will set up a video so yall can see how well(or poorly) I am doing. Brook will not be taking the next class with me. She has a lot on her plate right now with school and the black belt test.

Saturday Pat and I will be leaving town for a few days. I will not have access to Internet(no laptop). We will be taking a much needed break from everything. Going to ride the bike to Helen and wherever else our heart desires.

Okay time to get busy. I need to cook and clean like all good domestic goddesses do.

  1. I'm catching up here. Good job on the walking! Now you're inspiring me to start!

  2. The other day I ran into my old GM on my way back from the gym and he was shocked that I walk there (it's only 2.5 miles away).  I told him that people drive there to walk on a stationary treadmill for five miles, at least this way, I get to see things and actually GET somewhere.

  3. Glad to hear Pat is feeling better...Great job on the walking  I need to do that before it gets cold...Think I will make myself get started tomorrow...have a great week!  Hugs,TerryAnn

  4. Glad Pat's finger is better! can't wait to see you do the bow staff~!
    love ya,

  5. I am only walking a mile and a half, too slowly because of the walker. At least I'm out aanr trying! Glad Pat's finger is doing better, and your trip sounds great! Margo

  6. Walking will get easier and more pleasant as the weather cools.  (crossing fingers)

  7. I'm glad Pat's finger is better.  I want to increase my walking if it ever gets cooler here!  I hope you have a great trip!

  8. Have a wonderful few days away!

  9. Hope the two of you have a wonderful weekend!!!  -  Barbara
