i forgot

I forgot to tell yall what happened yesterday morning. I woke up to a bird flying around in the house! Not one of my birds, a little wren was whizzing thru the air flitting around everywhere. My daughter had opened up her window a crack and the wind had taken the screen off(had bad winds night before) and she said that the bird just came zipping in the window! It surprised her and she opened her window up all the way so the bird could leave. Instead it flew under the door and started flying around the house! Now, I either have lazy cats or well trained ones, not sure which. There were 3 cats that had managed to sneak in and stay in the house overnight. NOT ONE OF THEM ATTEMPTED TO CATCH BIRD!!!!! I opened up the front door and out it flew! At least my day did start out with a laugh!

  3. I would say well fed cats. Glad they didn't catch it. I love the little wrens. They are so cute with their saucy little tails. Helen

  4. That's too funny...I was babysitting once and the kids were outside and left the door open and a robin flew in and I was freaking out...It did manage to find it's way out of the house again, but it's just weird to see a bird flying freely throughout a house.

  5. Since we got Scooter the dove and Skeeter the pigeon, the little birds hang around a lot and often they come in the house.  No cats here . . . we just let them back out when they are ready.  Blessings, Penny http://journals.aol.com/firestormkids04/FromHeretoThere

  7. My cat would have had incriminating feathers coming out of her mouth and I would have had half a bird on my bed, lol!

  8. That happened in the garage the other day.  A Wren flew in and sat on the door track for a moment and then left.  I was afraid I was going to have to chase it out because they like our garage for some reason.

  9. Typical cats-never helpful when you want them to be, but clever and endearing nevertheless. Margo

  10. My grandma would throw a fit when a bird came in the house. She always said it was a bad omen. I've had plenty fly in my house though and nothing bad happened. I think she was just too supersticious.

    Happy Holidays Celeste!
