Wednesday my daughter and I took Brook to Atlanta to an Education Technology Conference. What an experience! The technology available for schools to use is fantastic! Forget the old chalkboards we had or the white boards. Now there are smart boards and vision boards. Electronic, computerized passes, programs for record keeping, learning programs for math, reading , science and  everything else.  The computer age is here in full force. For the schools that have some money, the sky's the limit or maybe not. There were programs to take the kids to outer space also. The kids in the technology club at brook's school had a booth set up where they demonstrated how to set up a slide show with music and other stuff like fade and ken burns  and stuff like that. I was real proud of them all.

  1. That sounds so incredible and makes me excited for the future education of my grandchildren.  I had no idea so much had changed.

    Thanks.

That's great to hear all of the good things our youth are up to these days.  It is also good to hear of all the technology that is available to them.  Particularly in the classroom.  Hopefully, that is where the payoff is ... in the classroom.  It's a four hour trip for us to get to Atlanta from here, how long of a trip is it for Y'all?

  4. That sounds very interesting, it is really something how things have changes. The kids are sooo smart now. I don't think I could have done what they do when I was their age. They have a lot of advantages now and I love it.

  7. When my daughter's elementary school was first built two years ago it had a lot of those new technological features.  They are really great.
