Jury duty is over

From Christmas
I get to the courthouse today and sit there waiting for the start. After a bit the judge comes in and tells us we are dismissed for the week and thank you for your service. Ok so I am done with that for this year.

I am procrastinating. I need to get stuff done before my surgery. I guess I keep thinking that if I don't do it then nothing will happen. Dumb. I know I am having surgery. That will not change. Of sure I can cancel it but that won't happen. I can't tell you that I have not thought of it because I have. I wonder what will happen that day. Pat and Candiac in the same room waiting on me...

I was going to tell you about something I saw and I cannot remember what it was. Lately I have been having trouble remembering stuff. I know it is all the stress I am under. I will get better. I will get through the surgery and through the holidays and get next year started and then life will be better... I hope.

  1. You're a survivor. You'll get by. We're the getting-by-est people in the world; comes from going through the school of hard knocks.

  2. Just hang in there. Try not to stress yourself out so much. It'll soon be behind you and things will be better.

  3. If there is one thing I know about you is that you are a strong woman...I would love to be a fly on the wall in that waiting room,....who knows..maybe this will bring them two together! I am ppraying for you....and them.

  4. I was thinking the same thing when I read Carlene's comment. I'm praying you will feel much better when this is all over.

  5. glad that jury duty is done and you did your civil duty until the next time you are called :)

I think stress does play havoc on our memory and ability to remember things; I've taken to writing down a lot of things to remember them whereas in the past I could have easily kept them in my brain

maybe make a list of what you still need to get done before your surgery and then spend some time doing what needs to be done and then some time doing what you like to do and rotate back and forth between them until everything is done

    just a thought

  6. so glad that jury duty is over - do not stress out over everything - you are only one person - take care of the basics - you are stronger then you give yourself credit for!!
hopefully your daughter will jump in and help out -
so glad that brooke came over for pizza - how cool is that!
    take care--Ellie

  7. I hope she and pat can work together and keep you comfortable
