Cut flowers

Do you want to feel better? Get some cut flowers. A Harvard study shows that cut flowers in the room decreases anxiety and worry and increases compassion. Hey I will try anything! LOL Seriously. I know that when I look at the pretty flowers I have sitting on my desk right now I smile. Anytime you smile HAS to help you feel better. And if you can smell them then you have a bonus! I am seriously thinking of planting lavender so that I can bring those sweet tranquil smelling flowers in my house. Just remember do not leave them in the vase so long they start looking sad. Dead flowers dropping over the side with brown petals falling all over is just sad.
It has been raining off and on since yesterday morning. This morning the sound of  thunder rumbles in the distance. The rain is good and so necessary for the earth. It is not the hard, driving rain we had in the past weeks but the gentle rain the the ground welcomes and drinks its fill. I just heard a full minute and half of rumbling thunder, steadily breaking across the sky and then slowly faded into the distance.  The lions of March are fighting to stay to the end. The lambs are being made to wait until the last minute to escort April in.

  3. I love having flowers here. I don't know why I don't have them more often. I think I will get some next time I'm at the store because I will be home a lot this next week recuperating.
Oh how I wish we'd have a bit of rain! Thunder would be heaven to me. We don't get thunder often even when it does rain.
Hope you have a good weekend.

  5. I loved your description of the lions and the lambs; I remember the old saying of March coming in as a lamb, out like a lion and the other way around; living where I live in Southern Calif, we don't get many thunder/lightening storms; miss those from my Montana days

    enjoy the day
