Saturday was a wonderful day. My day started with a smile and ended with one.
We decided to go on a ride on the bike. I always enjoy riding. After a quick breakfast we were on our way. I hope you enjoy the video. It may take a bit of time to load.
For those of you that cannot see the video, I posted pictures for your viewing pleasure.
We took a trip to the Cornbread Festival in South Pittsburg Tennessee, sponsered by the Lodge people, makers of the world's best cast iron cookware. They have it every year with people from all over competing with their best recipe made with cornbread cooked in cast iron. I really enjoyed all the tastes and sights. I had something called cornbread salad. Not sure how to make it. It was good but I prefer my beans and cornbread hot!
All and all it was a good day.
Such beautiful scenery! I'm glad you got out and had a good time! I'd love to go places on a motorcycle! You are lucky.

Hey, we were riding at the same time!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful area especially the Tennessee river. I like my cornbread and beans too and don't forget the onions. Paula
ReplyDeleteIt's funny when you said bike I had a large picture of you peddling a two wheel bycicle, I guess it's my age. I really enjoyed the pictures, loved the white picket fence around that house, also the water pictures, all in all it sure looks like you had a delightful day, do you take rides thru the mountains in the fall, when the leaves have turned and falling and it the wind is up it looks like God is tossing confetti at a great big party He is holding just for you. gg

ReplyDeleteI find myself so alone in that I don't like cornbread. There's just something about the texture that bothers me. :(

ReplyDeleteNice job with the pictures and the video. You are really getting talented, lady! The trip does look like it was fun. I would have loved to have been along on this one, I love cornbread. I have some cast iron cornbread molds along with my grandmother's cast iron skillets that I inherited. The Tennessee River always looks so inviting!
