Motorcycle class

I am exhausted both mentally and physically. There is so much to learn and so little time to do it in. My shoulders, legs, back even hair hurt from having spent all day on a bike doing stuff I have never done. Weaving in and out of cones, pausing without putting feet down, stopping fast, shifting in a curve and more things I cannot even remember right now. I honestly do not know if I will pass this class or not. I can tell you this, it has been a big learning experience. My head hurts. I have been drinking water all day but I know I am still a bit dehydrated. It was a hot scorching day out in the sun. We started with 9 people in the class, 6 females 3 males. Of those 9 people only 1 has really ridden a bike. By the end of the first exercise we had 1 bike dropped. The lady riding that bike left the class. It turns out that she did not even know how to ride a bicycle and had no idea how to balance on 2 wheels.

I am off now. My head hurts and I am tired, very tired. I have to get up tomorrow and do it again. Wish me luck. I will need it.

  1. I didn't expect more women than men attending the class. Must be awesome ladies out there.

I guess it is hard work but the passion to ride and finally have a license is worth every pain.

Hope you do great and pass with flying colors.

  2. Makes me wonder if the what has been bitten of is harder to chew than you thought it would be?

Seems like the folks that are instructing you are making SURE that they show you what you need to know. Good thing you started working out before you took the class, because it sounds like it is coming in handy!!

  3. Cliff has ridden motorcycles off and on since he was 17, but that safety course was one of the most grueling things he ever went through. And he was surprised that there were so many things he needed to learn. He would take the class again, he's so convinced of how useful it is.

  4. You could always do anything you set your mind to. Keep up the good work but be careful!
