Ugh, what to do

Ugh. I have so much to do and I don't want to do it. I have reached the conclusion that I need a maid. Actually I have reached several conclusions, hmm sounds like a good Thursday Thirteen list.

It rained all night long. The fields look like they are under water. Well maybe they look that way because they ARE under water! They are green though! The grass is coming up good. The horses do not stand at the watering trough staring at me asking for more food (like they needed it, the fatties!)

We have new neighbors. Somebody finally bought the place next door to us. They are going to a couple of trailers in for their teenage sons to move into. I have a feeling I am not going to like this. Earlier this week the sons and friends were out in their back field (which is next to our window) mudding. For those of you not familiar with the term, mudding is driving a vehicle, usually a four wheel drive but not always, in a field slinging mud everywhere. It is a pretty popular "sport" here in the South. I don't get it, boggles my mind as to why anybody wants to do that. I guess it is a "boy" thing.

I am out of here. Enjoy your day.

  1. On one hand, the rain is a pain in the arse to deal with. Particularly the mud. On the other, everything is so pretty afterwards. And the smell! Oh I wish I could bottle the smell of air after a good rain. Your neighbor's boys sound like mine. If I were inclined to let them have quads. Which I'm not. ;)

  2. Green grass is showing? Yeah! not here. Not yet. But soon. I don't get the mudding thing either, but boys will be boys. I guess.

  3. Hope those new neighbors work out ok. Stange about having sons living in trailers...They have those mud things in the north too.

  4. The wet weather makes for a gloomy outlook, but the green grass is a very good sign that Spring is coming and here to stay.

Hope your new neighbors will be good friends eventually. Friends are definitely better than foes.

Have a good weekend and a great week ahead.

  5. I hope the new neighbors work out ok. I hope they are nice.
I need a maid, too. I certainly do not want to spend my weekends cleaning. No way. Good luck finding one.

  6. Hope they don't sling the mud your way. We had two neighbors move out Friday so we'll see what we get next.

  7. I think I'd have second thoughts about those new neighbors too.
