Life is better today. Mainly because I decided to fight. I have always kind of laid down the banner so to speak in the past and just gave up. Not so this time. I may not win the war but I have won this battle. I have extreme problems with self confidence and so I always see myself as the loser. Some people will think I am stupid to fight this was but I don't. I know some people are very confused as to what it is I am fighting. If you want to know I will tell you in private.
We may have the problem fixed with the tractor. with one small problem still on going. Cliff might be able to help with this one. What is the best way to fix a small pinhole leak in the gas tank? It is a Farmall Super C.
Gas prices seem to have stabilized around here lately. It has been holding steady at around $3.87 a gallon. I told Pat the other day that I do not believe it will matter who gets in as president the gas prices will not be going down. He goes on that they need to do what they did back in the 70's with the oil embargo. Sure why not, gas prices did not go down then nor will they now. Our dependence on gas has to break. As long as cars get low mileage we are screwed. The American automakers fight raising mandatory higher gas mileage on vehicles. They fight tighter emissions standards, they fight everything. 40 miles per gallon is not unrealistic for them. Lower speed limits work too(and helps in other areas too -accident rates etc.) I also told pat that I believe gas will easily be $7 a gallon by 2010 and 2 days later I read a report where the experts say the same thing. Does that make me an expert or what?
Ok I have to get a load of clothes out of the washer and put it in the dryer. Then start another load.
Life will be good if I have to kill to make it so.

Anyway that is resolved. Her computer privileges are severely restricted again.
Pat and I had a wonderful day yesterday. We went to the kids and ate chicken and then went on a ride to Sonics for a 99 cent milk shake. We then went riding for about 2 hours. We passed a creek named Dry Creek and it was dry! LOL What a great day.
Been fiddle farting around today not doing much of anything. I guess I really need to get busy. See y'all later.

Our June Photo challenge for FUN only, is The American Flag. Find a flag anywhere, on a flag post, a building, painted on something....or just the red, white & blue colors. You can even use a child's drawing as long as it has the red, white & blue colors. I want to decorate our Challenge Journal for July 4th, so I am planning to make a quilt of all entries. So the entry date will be different, it will start today & end on Monday the 23th of June. This will give you an extra weekend.
Try to make your image into a square, if you can.UPDATE: don't worry about the size, just post whatever image you have for this challenge. I see it's hard to crop/edit certain images into squares. Post here if you are going to enter.
This is my first time doing this photo challenge. I could not decide which photo to use so here are 2 of my favorites. The first is flags on court house lawn for Memorial Day. The second is flags on the graves of unknown soldiers buried in National Cemetery many of which are Civil War graves.

The horses are staying in the fence now. Did I mention that Crystal had been at the breeder's? I sure hope she is pregnant this time. I have got to call and set up an ultrasound to make sure. If she is then there are shots she will need as the pregnancy progresses.
I have been trying to do major house cleaning and that has been limiting my time on line. I have to. It is so easy to sit here in front of the computer and do nothing around here. I rather enjoy watching scans run and looking at new stuff for the computer even if I can't get anything. I do get some stuff from PC Mag sometimes. I must be doing something right by my computer since it has never crashed. The only trouble I have had is a plastic divider broke that was between the motherboard and the rest of the computer. A paperclip stuck in there fixed that right up. I really do need to get an external hard drive. I need something simple and holds a lot. I also really need to get some more memory. My next computer , sometimes in the far distance future, will have much more memory and hard drive space. LOL My last computer was maxed out at 64K with a 20 GB hard drive.so I am doing good now compared to that.
Buddy has no respect for the fact I am trying to type here. He keeps walking across the keyboard. He has now settled down on the mouse pad. He has been in a loving mood lately. I think he is a bit jealous of the new kittens in the bedroom.
Does anybody have any of those clean air machines? I have been thinking of getting some. I need one for the bedroom for sure and the living room. I am thinking of putting a small one under the desk where my tower is. It gets so dusty there. Having birds we get dustier than usual. Also living out in the country seems to contribute a lot to it also. With Pat's asthma, and I know it will get worse as time goes by, I am thinking that I need to get some. I use allergen filters on the A/C unit and my vacuum has a HEPA filter.
I harvested my broccoli. It is hard having an organic garden. Worms had started eating up my plants. I was grossed when I blanched the broccoli for the freezer. Worms would pop up to the top of the water. They are the same color, green, so they are real hard to see. And broccoli heads are so dense that I did not see them when I was cutting them up. Shows the important of blanching food before freezing! My Brussels should be ready soon. I prefer baby size on them. I am going to pull up the broccoli this weekend and plant something else. Maybe some
squash will be good in that spot.
The dryer buzzed and I have towels to fold. I also need to fix me something to eat. I get on here and all track of time leaves. I will be back.

Had a wonderful wakeup call this morning. My neighbor called me and was screaming in my ear that my horses were out and eating her garden. Personally I would shoo the horses out then call. So off I go chasing horses at 615 in the morning. Then I had to find the break in the fence and fix it. I will probably be nicely broke out by this afternoon. Of course they would break through at a place were there is a large amount of poison sumac to which I am highly allergic to. I came in and cleaned up at once but I can break out just being around it sometimes. I hope I have some Benedryl around here.
That's it for now.

OK I am out of words. My brain just will not come up with words.

In Hartford CT last Friday, a man was hit a car and left lying in the street. One car that saw the crime stopped for a bit and then pulled back out into traffic and left. A person on a scooter circled the man and drove off while a crowd slowly gathers by looking at the man in the street. No one helps. No one calls 911. A police car finally arrives but he was not called for this.
There is no excuse for no one helping. Does life mean so little to people? What if that had been you? Or your father or husband, wife, child? Have people become so selfish, so calloused that they cannot or will not help someone? How much could it hurt to move your finger and call 911 at the very least? I will make a bet that someone that saw it happen or saw this man in the street did call a friend and say you won't believe what I just saw.
Would I have helped? Yes I would have. I have stopped many a times and helped at an accident before help arrived. Sometimes I did nothing more than comfort someone that was crying and scared. Other times I had to deal with blood and genuine hurt. At least twice there was someone dead.
People say that that they don't stop because they might get sued. Yea that is is a possibility, some people are sue happy, most people aren't. And then there is that, oh I would not know what to do. Many times all that is needed is reassurance that help is on its way. What if there is blood? What if there are broken bones? What if they are dead? What if what if what if. WHAT IF IT WAS YOU?

Pat had a severe asthma attack that was causing less oxygen to get to his heart causing angina pains. At one point it was thought that he may have a blood clot or a possible pulmonary embolism. It was determined that he did not have a heart attack. This morning they did an arteriogram. He has some blockage but not enough. It was determined that he is in the early stages of cardiovascular disease. This will be treated by drugs and diet. His blood pressure is also borderline. So now he is to be on a low sodium, low fat, low cholesterol diet plus high fiber. Sounds a bit yucky.
I am happy happy happy. My love is home and I am going to keep him.

Yesterday evening I took Pat to the hospital with difficultities breathing and chest pains. he did not have a heart attack but the blood work shows a possible clot. None was found on the CT Scan. Today he is having lung tests done and in the morning he is having an arteriogram. One doctor believes it is lungs the other believes it is heart. It could be both. The only reason the arteriogram is not being done today is because the contrast is hard on the kidneys and they want the first dye to flush out of system before injecting more.
