Taking a break

I will be taking a break from the computer. I have been spending more and more time in front of the monitor and not doing stuff I need to be doing. I may not take a complete breakand allow myself acertian length of time. If I find that I cannot control my urge that it will be a total break  for awhile.I have to break this vicious cycle of not doing anything except playing games and reading. I love my computer time but I have a big problem with getting on here and not getting off. I am a computer junkie.

  1. Celeste, I went through not getting things done a while back -- I finally just made a 'rule' that worked for me.  I 'allowed' myself e-mail time in the am, then nothing until after 2:00 pm. Games were no more than fifteen minutes a couple of times a day -- I rarely even play them now!   Eventually I changed my entire approach just by paying attention to how much time I was sitting and not accomplishing other important tasks.

  2. Aren't we all computer junkies to one extent or another?  God help you find the balance you are looking for.  ;o) -  Barbara

  7. I hate you going, now that I am just getting back. We all know what we need to do to get things right. I hope to see you back soon. I can't keep track of time when on line. Maybe an alarm clock set for the amount of time you allow your self on line would help. Hugs, Denise

  8. This is the reason I don't usually turn mine on until I do the things I need to do. If I wake in the middle of the night I get on a while until I get sleepy again. Of course I can't vaccum in the middle of the night now can I? Come when you can. Paula

  12. I have been offline the past few days, too. When my hands start to ache, I know that I am spending too much time online. But I also need the love and support I get online, too, so it is a delicate balance.

We'll be here when you get back.
    love, Kas
