More about the trip

So over the mountains we go to get to Gatlinburg. The curves are wonderful and scary on the back of a bike. All I could do was experience the thrill of the ride. Being the person on back I had no control over anything that was gonna happen so I just leaned back and enjoyed. I raised my shield so I could feel the fresh mountain air on my face. Little did I know that there was a smog alert out for the Smokies. Terrible what the world has done to its natural beauties. I tried to keep my camera busy but there were times when I just had to hold on. Some of those curves were tight, I could almost reach out and touch the next curve!  Finally we get to the North Carolina and Tennessee line and take a break for the next leg of the trip into Gatlinburg.

Bike after bike passed us on the other side of the road returning from their ride or maybe just starting out on the other side of the mountains.

Altogether too soon we hit Gatlinburg. We decided to stop and look around a bit and then press on to Pigeon Forge to stay the night (cheaper). The next day was to be the last leg of our journey and then home.
