rain, horses, jobs, what a combination

Brook has started her allergy shots and she is not liking it. She did admit that it did not hurt as much as she thought it would. I promised her a treat when she got them, unfortunately I am not taking her at this time.I now have 2 treats to get her. LOL She had her second shot today.

Crystal is doing much better. Her heel is healing up well. With any luck by the time spring gets here she will be rideable

The rain is back but not hard like it was last time. This time it would be able to soak in if the ground was not already saturated! With the amount of rain we have had, you would think that we would be out of a drought situation. Not so. We still need more water. The lakes are looking better, lakes do look better with water in them.LOL We will see.

Last night was the last night for Brook's weapons class. There is another one next month but I believe she will not be taking that one.

Candiac and Johnny are talking again about moving to Texas. I dread that when it happens. There are no jobs here for Candy. She will not be able to keep living here without work and because of her convicted felon status she is not able to get any help from the state. That is so wrong. She served her time, her probation period is over and she has stayed straight. One mistake and she is screwed for life.

I about had a heart attack. I checked to see what my electric bill is for this month and it is $200. That hurts!

Pat was informed at work that they may cut back to 32 hours a week. That will hurt.

Time is ticking down to my teeth coming out on Monday. That will hurt.

Jobs, gas, and transporation

In our part of the country you count yourself lucky to have a job, any job. Plants are closing down completely, some have laid off hundreds of people. The housing market which usually stays full swing right now is in a shutdown. Several of the biggest contractors in the area have houses left unfinished, workers that could not be paid, and subcontractors left in the lurch. The only consolation in al this is gas is down to $2.34 a gallon which makes it easier for those that are working to buy gas to get to their jobs. Johnny(my son in law) is one of the lucky ones, he starts a new job Monday after a almost a month of being out of work. The good thing is that will delay when and if they move to Dallas.
Pat has been driving the truck to work for the past couple of weeks. The front wheel bearings went out on the bike and we had to order the parts. The last part came in today. This is good. He will need to get back on the bike and ride it to work so we can fix the truck now. It has started running bad. So far we know that at least 2 sensors are bad and they will cost almost half a paycheck to get those parts. When it rains it pours. Once we fix that, then we will know if there is something else wrong. The bad thing is he needs to ride the bike so we can get the parts. We can't pay for gas and buy the parts even with the reduced gas prices! The truck is almost paid for, figures.
Next week is the Presidential election. I do not want to know who you are voting for. I do want you to vote.
