Thursday Thirteen:The Letter J

1. Journal-my first journal was My Day and Thoughts on AOL journals. I had it here for 4 years and imported it to Blogger. I think I will have one for a long time to come.
2. Job- If you are lucky to have one then try to keep it. In many parts of the country jobs are becoming scarce.
3. Juice- I drink at least 8 ounces of juice daily, usually apple.
4. Joke- Something that is supposed to make you laugh. Sometimes they are cruel.
5. Jacks- A game played with six prong stars and a rubber ball. I was never and good at it.
6. Just Me- a blog written by one of the nicest people I know. She is straight forward and honest and country and ...oh just go read her.
7. Joints- Joints are parts of the body that really seem to hurt more as you get older.
8. Jaunt- usually a short journey for pleasure. I hope that Pat and I will be able to take another one soon.
9. Jack of all trades- Something you tend to be if you live in the country. Kind of a necessary thing.
10. June- the traditional month for weddings
11. Joker-wild card in a deck of cards.
12. Justice-justice is sometimes blind and lets the bad guys go.
13. Jail-Where the bad people should be

Thursday Thirteen

1. Horses- I love burying my face in Precious neck and smelling her warm horse scent. After my surgery, when I should not have been around them because of the danger of being pushed or knocked around, she came to me and put her head on my shoulder and stood so still. Her ears flattened as a warning to the others to stay away.
2. Humanity- Just when I think that it has sunk to lows that it cannot dig it way out of, a shining star comes along and restores my faith that there are people that do care and are not in it for the money. Give a hand Up written by Mary
3. Heart- Brook is involved in Jump Rope For Hearts , The American Heart Association Follow this link to help her help others
4. Hormones- thyroid, female both give me HOT FLASHES. I need to have them rechecked
5. HOT FLASHES- see number 4 For ones caused be females hormones try magnesium sulfate
6. Hello- not enough people say it nowadays. I guess they are afraid of getting involved. So HELLO!
7. Help-everybody needs some at least once in their life. Some people will not ask and you will need to offer it or just do it for them.
8. Horticulture- plants. I have actually managed to keep a house plant alive for almost a year! It is an African Violet.
9. Howie-I cannot stand that show Howie do it
10. House- a structure that does not make a home.
    
11. Horns-Sometimes we have to grab the bull by the horns and just go for it.
12. Hope. I hope that my daughter gets a job soon.
13. Health- Guard it. You need it to live.

The Thursday Thirteen, the letter G

1. Grapes-good to eat unless you are a dog, then it can be fatal. Read here for more information, Danger for Dogs-Grapes and Raisins
2. Green- the color of grass. It will look wonderful after all this brown of winter
3. Gorgeous- Brook will be gorgeous when she grows up. She is so pretty now that people look.(Gonna have to keep the shotgun loaded!)
4. Grief- a part of life that is hard to deal with
5. Grace- cats are so graceful. Poor Buddy. He missed out on that ability due to being crossed eyed!
6. Granny- what I called my grandmother and what my mother was called.
7. Great Smoky Mountains- a place where Pat and I love to ride our motorcycle.
8. Gorillas- an endangered species. Magnificent to see. With luck, hard work, and dedication, future generations will see them and not just read about them
9. Grass- what all farmers need for their livestock
10. gratuity- also know as a tip
11. Geese- for some reason Canadian geese stay here year round
12. Georgia- my home

Thursday Thirteen:"The Letter A"

1. Appetite: something I need to lose
2. Aging: I am trying to do this gracefully
3. AOL: I am still finding stuff from it on my computer.
4. Azalea: I would love to grow some in my yard.
5. Apples: I have a tree I need to cut down because it does not bare
6. Andrews: the author of a book I am reading right now.
7. Adolescents: Had to deal with one today that made me want to smack him.
8. ADVAIR: a medicine that is helping to keep Pat breathing, that we will not be able to afford when he retires.
9. Asthma: I wish there was a cure for it. Pat is suffering so much lately.
10. Arkansas: neighbor of Missouri
11. Alabama: My brother lives there, my daddy was from there.
12. Ads: something I MIGHT someday get paid for, which would never of happened on AOL
13. Apron: I need one
