How nice to feel the wind beneath their wings. I enjoy watching birds of prey fly and always have mixed emotions when I see them hunt. I have to remind myself about the great cirlce of life and that the prey is enabling another creature's continued existence.
SamAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2778915961948946252.post-39739177734147721572005-08-09T07:59:00.000-04:002005-08-09T07:59:00.000-04:00Celeste - poor little rabbit - but this as they sa...Celeste - poor little rabbit - but this as they say is the circle of life - We 0nce had a Dove land on our pigeon loft - Hubby clipped its wings so it would not fly away - but he didn't really know what he was doing - put the Dove in the loft and it happily flew off well fed and watered....AllyAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2778915961948946252.post-75913101690353504522005-08-09T08:09:00.000-04:002005-08-09T08:09:00.000-04:00I think it would be great to have birds flying aro...I think it would be great to have birds flying around inside ,at leaszt occasionally! I have a feeling he was after my five pound Yorkie and follwed her right through the open patio door. He trapped himself in a bay window, I threw a sheet over him and carried him outside. When I told people later they all accuse me of having Mimosas for breakfast!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2778915961948946252.post-67177232285852401662005-08-09T09:59:00.000-04:002005-08-09T09:59:00.000-04:00This entry is surely, not for birds! We had an outside cat come up missing a while back, and my vet told me a hawk might have gotten him since we live in the country. I would have never in a million years have thought a hawk would bother a cat!!!! I have three, but only the one is allowed outside, but ONLY because he drives me crazy meowing!!!! He is just one of those cats you just cannot keep inside all the time. At least if something were to happen to him, he will have died happy. For me, it would take time to get over it since I am sooo attached to him. I don't dare have any birds because of the cats. Three cats and birds DO NOT mix!!!!!! Loved seeing the photos of your cockatiels though! :-)

http://journals.aol.com/rjet33/CountryLivingSouthernStyleAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
