Weight loss with Slimshots

As most people know I am trying to lose weight. It has been a struggle for me as I once suffered from anorexia. I have tried several different weight lose products with little results. I was given a chance to try SlimShots, so I said why not. I got my packagae in the mail and saw what the little portions to take and thought "No way". First day I drank 1 shot and shuddered at the taste. I quickly washed it down. I did not really notice any difference that day. The next day I took another shot. This time I made sure it was cold. That helped a great deal. I still did not really notice any effect. The next day I said okay. They said try 2 for best benefit. Breakfast time I mixed my shot with a smoothie. lunchtime came and I took another one. By the end of the day I did notice I had not eaten as much that day. I had no jitters, no heart beating faster. I did notice I went and pooped softer(TMI???? LOL) but that was a good thing! Best of all by the end of the week I had lost a total of 3 pounds! In the week after stopping the Slimshots I gained 1 pound back.
This is a product that does work. Not a miracle weight loss drug, no 10 pounds lost in a week thing but it worked for me. I checked out the ingredients and found nothing bad in it. Oat oil and palm oil and

I do recommend it. It worked for me.

I was sent this product to review it. I was not paid money just received some product! (I want more of it!!!)

Barbed wire and legs don't mix

Every year we have attempted to go on a relaxing vacation. Hopefully one that would not cost an arm and a leg. So far we have been unsuccessful. Every year some thing would happen to the motorcycle that would cost us hundreds of extra dollars. Crystal, Pat's horse, decided that she would be the one to spoil our vacation this year. She got into a fight with barbed wire and the wire won. She has numerous cuts on her legs, back and sides. One in particular prompt a call to the vet. Luckily her tendon was not cut. This is what her leg looked like 2 days later when we got home. This is after I cleaned it up. It had copious amounts of yellow pus flowing out of it. My daily routine now consists of hosing her leg for at least 20 minutes at a time. At first it was twice a day. During that time I had to give her medicine by mouth. Now this was fun as she would pick out the food it was sprinkled on and not eat it. So I rigged up a syringe with apple sauce mixed with the medicine and gave it to her like wormer. Not fun as it was a large amount and could not be done quickly or all given at one time as it was a rather large amount. This followed by wrapping the leg up several times a day as the bandage would work its self down. After a week of that I had to add a topical antibiotic, steroid, anti-fungal ointment and wrap it up. This was for 5 days. Now I use neosporin and hydrocortisone cream. This is not easy. This horse does not really like me. I am constantly having to mess with a hurt back leg, a leg that could easily kill me with one kick if she so desired. I am so tired from the constant battle.
I am working hard to keep what is called proud flesh from developing. Proud flesh is a ugly, ugly, place. Any horse people out there that knows how to help, let me know. I know you can cauterize it, I also know that is not the best way to go as that can cause problems of its own.

Helen and hurt

Last week Pat and I took off on my first road trip. We decided to go camping near Helen Ga and take in the first weekend of Oktoberfest there. That was our original plans anyway.
Off we go with our handy map one wrong turn and where we go nobody knows. LOL We got all sorts of directional help to get to Helen. It seems all roads lead to Helen, some are just not so direct and most are not on a map.
Up a mountain we go with narrow roads, no guard rails and scary turns, all of which thrilled me. I never dreamed I would actually be doing this. Once on top our phones start going off, voicemail and text messages to both our phones. Crystal is hurt and the vet has been called. Nothing we could do except hope for the best and find out where we are. Lucky for us this road actually dropped down into Helen.
Off to the campground we go. We stayed at Unicoi State Park. We started getting set up and our neighbor showed up with a armload of wood for a fire. That was a blessing as we were going to have to head out again after dark to find some.
It was early to bed and early to rise as the temps dropped into the 40's. I got a fire going fast and breakfast going. I made sausage and scrambled eggs with toast. I must say they were delicious! After that off we went for fishing licenses and a day of fishing in the mountains. Needless to say we did not catch anything. We did not even get a bite. What we did have was a lovely ride looking for some fishing.
Later that evening our neighbor brought up a dutch oven with a pot roast, potatoes and carrots to eat. We shared a delightful meal and good conversation. After dinner we headed off into town. It felt weird riding thru Helen and there be no people or traffic!
Back to camp for another early night. That cool mountain air made me so sleepy! The next day we were up early again. This time we went out of breakfast then back to break down camp. Plans were to stay longer but with Crystal hurt we decided to come home to se how bad it was.
After breaking down camp we headed back into Helen. People were scurrying about but still not crowded. We headed to Biker Village to check out the shops. I bought a new pair of chaps as I had busted the zipper on my old pair. By the time we left Helen we were hungry again. We stopped and ate then headed home with only a stop to get gas and a drink. It was dark by the time we got home. I was glad to be home but sad because I was really looking forward to camping out longer.
